Swagatam, or welcome to Nepal! Well, at least your online destination for travel, historical and cultural information about the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal. Nepal is located in South Asia, nestled between China and India, with amazing religious and geographic variety.

In the North, Nepal is home to the world's highest mountains in the Himalayas Range, including Mount Everest, the highest (29,035 feet) and most popular hiking destination. Nepal is also the birthplace of Buddhism. Yet, many people in the country are also Hindu.

The rural, mountainous North and the urban South provide a dichotomy of geography and culture unique to Nepal. With its textured Nepali language, exotic flag, complex politics and rich spiritual and religious heritage, Nepal is a wonderful destination for anyone looking for an adventure.
